What is Out-placement?

Out-placement is a proactive and dynamic service through which a professional can get back in the labor market effectively.

What level of positions use Out-placement?

Companies use out-placement at all levels. However, this is a service that is mostly used in case of company shut downs, down sizing, or as a benefit at certain levels in the case of a top executive or an employee with seniority.

How is the process started?

There are two ways of starting an outplacement:

  • The company that is interested in the service contacts us
  • The candidate looks for the service directly

What steps does an Out-placement consist of?

The process has several steps:

  1. Personal interview including information on market trends
  2. Revision of the resume until its presentation is acceptable to our standards
  3. Psychological tests and meeting with psychologist
  4. Information on techniques for interviews, what to say, what not to do
  5. Coaching
  6. Delivery of resumes with a letter of recommendation
  7. Insertion of resume in databases and processes that match the profile

How long does an Out-placement take?

An Out-placement will take at least 3 months from the starting date. The total length depends greatly on the time of the year during which it begins. If the first trimester ends with no success the process continues for another 3 to 6 months. During this period the methods used are more aggresive, including but not limited to in-person visits to different industrials parks to get the resumes to a wider market.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the number of people that are receiving the service at once, the level of the positions, and the type of service that is required.
